Monthly Paint & Meditate
Studies have shown that a person who spends only 45 minutes being creative will reduce their cortisol levels. This is a hormone that secretes into our bodies in response to stress. It doesn't matter what your skill level is, as long as you spend time being creative, painting, carving, drawing, whatever you enjoy doing. Your mind is focusing on what you are creating and therefore you are distracted from what was causing you stress. Similarly meditation does the same thing! By focusing on your breathing, music, or a guided meditation you calm your physical and mental state, allowing your body to relax and heal.
Spiritual Imprints is SO excited to be offering a monthly Paint & Meditate evening to help people reduce stress, connect with their inner child, and have a fun & relaxing evening in a safe and loving space.
Join us on the second Wednesday of every month for this interactive and relaxing night!
The first session will start Wednesday May 9th from 6:30pm - 9pm
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
The evening will start out with a 20 minute guided meditation. This will allow your body and mind to relax. During the meditation you may have some experiences or visions that inspire your creative side.
After the meditation it's time to paint!!
This is not a "How To" paint experience. It's all about painting whatever your heart and soul wishes to express. There are no right or wrong ways to paint when you are expressing how you feel. Just go with your creative flow, and have fun!
